DEPLOYMENT OPTIONS
On your infrastructure, wherever that is
A manufacturing execution system holds your production history, your quality records and your traceability chain. Where that lives is not a technical detail — it determines who can reach it, what happens when a connection drops, and whose terms govern it. Our platform runs on your infrastructure in every case. What varies is whether that infrastructure sits in your plant, in a European data centre, or in some combination of the two.
Three ways to deploy
The platform is the same in all three. Only where the servers live changes.
On-premise
Servers in your own plant, on your own network. The most common choice for manufacturing: nothing depends on an external connection, and the system keeps running even if the site loses its internet link.
EU-hosted private cloud
Your own dedicated servers in a European data centre, which removes the burden of hardware and physical maintenance while keeping the data inside the EU and under your control.
Hybrid
Acquisition and the database on-premise for resilience, with reporting or group-level consolidation hosted centrally. Common for groups that want plant autonomy and comparable reporting at once.
Modest hardware requirements
The platform is not resource-hungry. A typical single-plant deployment runs comfortably on standard server hardware — we specify it exactly during scoping rather than asking you to over-provision.
Works without the internet
For on-premise deployments, data collection and the operator screens keep working whether or not the site has an external connection. The plant does not stop because a link does.
Migratable later
The choice is not permanent. Because the platform and data model are the same in every option, moving from on-premise to hosted or the reverse is a planned migration, not a rebuild.
Deciding which fits
Who runs your infrastructure today?
A plant with its own server room and IT staff usually prefers on-premise; a plant whose IT is a shared group function often prefers hosted. We work with whichever you have.
What does your group require?
Some groups mandate central hosting; others mandate local. Some require data to remain in a particular jurisdiction. These constraints usually decide the answer before anything technical does.
What do you provide, and what do we?
For on-premise, you provide the hardware and network and we specify it; for hosted, we can arrange the environment. Either way we install, configure and then operate it as part of the service.
Technical detail
The acquisition services run on Windows, the web application and MariaDB on Linux. Hosted deployments use European data centres. Specific server sizing, network requirements, backup arrangements and access paths are defined during scoping and documented for your IT function before anything is installed.
